1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Finance Bot (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Finance Bot is a WhatsApp-based personal finance tracking service for Indian users that:

• Automatically imports transaction data from Gmail alerts
• Allows manual expense logging via WhatsApp messages
• Provides spending insights and tax deduction tracking
• Generates weekly digests and tax summaries

The Service is provided "as is" and may be modified or discontinued at any time.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information when using the Service
• Maintain the security of your WhatsApp account
• Not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Not attempt to access or interfere with our systems
• Not share your account access with others
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of India to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

5. Not Financial Advice

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER:

• Finance Bot is a tracking tool only, not a financial advisor
• We do NOT provide tax filing, investment advice, or financial planning services
• Tax insights are informational only and should be verified with a Chartered Accountant (CA)
• We are NOT responsible for tax filing errors or missed deductions
• Always consult a qualified CA or tax professional before making financial decisions
• Past categorizations do not guarantee future accuracy

6. Subscription Plans

Free Plan

• 50 transactions per month
• Gmail sync and basic features
• Can be used indefinitely with no payment

Pro Plan (₹99/month or ₹799/year)

• Unlimited transactions
• All premium features (PDF export, statement upload)
• Billed monthly or yearly via Razorpay
• Auto-renewal unless cancelled

7. Cancellation & Refunds

Cancellation

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time by:

• Messaging "cancel subscription" on WhatsApp
• Visiting Settings → Plan Management in the web dashboard

Refund Policy

• Monthly Plan: No refunds. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
• Yearly Plan: Pro-rated refunds available if cancelled within the first 30 days. After 30 days, no refunds, but you retain access until the end of the paid year.
• Refunds processed within 7-10 business days via original payment method.

8. Data Accuracy

While we strive for accuracy, we do NOT guarantee:

• 100% accurate transaction categorization (AI-based, may err)
• Completeness of imported transactions (depends on email alerts)
• Real-time sync (Gmail sync runs every 2 hours)
• Tax calculation accuracy (verify with your CA)

You are responsible for reviewing and correcting transaction data.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• Finance Bot is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind
• We are NOT liable for any financial losses, tax penalties, or missed deductions
• We are NOT liable for service interruptions, data loss, or technical errors
• Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the last 12 months
• We are NOT responsible for third-party services (WhatsApp, Gmail, payment processors)

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Finance Bot, its owners, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Tax filing errors based on our data

11. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to:

• Modify or discontinue features at any time
• Change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers
• Update these Terms (notification via WhatsApp)
• Suspend accounts that violate these Terms

12. Account Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account if:

• You violate these Terms
• You engage in fraudulent activity
• Your payment fails (for Pro users)
• Required by law

You may delete your account anytime from Settings. All data will be permanently deleted within 24 hours.

13. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party platforms:

• WhatsApp: Meta's Terms apply
• Gmail: Google's Terms and Privacy Policy apply
• Razorpay: Razorpay's payment terms apply

We are not responsible for these third-party services.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved through:

1. Good faith negotiation (contact us at support@financebot.in)
2. Arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996
3. Jurisdiction: Courts of [Your City], India
